Getting started
Every Core component is a single binary. It runs as a plain process, so
nothing has to be installed to try it out. For production, register it as a
service instead — <binary> install, and it is done.
- Start with the webserver. Install that component first — it serves the web UI.

Open the web UI and sign in with the default
adminaccount. - Follow the guided onboarding tour. It takes you through the rest — add the probes, the sentinel agent and the integrator as you need them.
Core components support Windows XP+ and Linux (systemd | Upstart | SysV).
Getting started
The prediction service runs next to your Core platform, on its own host. It reads monitor history from the InfluxDB your integrator writes to, and answers only requests signed by your webserver.

Extract the archive in its own folder and put the service settings
in a
.envfile next to theapibinary (api.exeon Windows): InfluxDB connection, TLS certificate and the webserver's public signing key. - Start it from that folder — then make it a systemd service on Linux, or a start-up task on Windows, so it runs without a session.
- Connect the webserver in Settings > Predictive Analytics, then switch prediction on for a monitor.
The service trains its models on its own. The optional
training CLI (train, train.exe on Windows)
trains one by hand; extract it in a folder of its own, not over the service.
Linux x86-64 with glibc 2.28 or later (RHEL / Alma / Rocky 8+, Debian 10+, Ubuntu 20.04+) or Windows 10 / Server 2016 or later, 64 bit; 2 CPU cores and 1 GB of memory, no GPU. Prefer containers? The quick start also covers the Docker image.
License fingerprint
The webserver and the integrator each run on a license bound to the server they are installed on. To generate it we need that server's hardware fingerprint — so capture it before requesting a license. The tool is a single binary: it only reads local identifiers, makes no network call and changes nothing on the machine.
- Download the tool for the server's operating system and run it on the server to be licensed — the Linux or Windows machine itself, virtual or physical, or inside the container when the component runs in one.

Install the license you receive. Rename it
license_MNS.dat, copy it next to the webserver or integrator binary and restart the component.
Windows (64 bit)
DownloadCapture the fingerprint again and ask for a new license when a component moves to another server or its operating system is reinstalled. Resizing a virtual machine (CPU, memory) keeps the license valid.
Disclaimer
To run the Mugnsoft component webserver and the integrator, a license is required. Capture the license fingerprint of the target server, then contact sales to get a plan.

Pulse is a portable application for Linux and Windows (64 bit) — Linux from v1.2.0 on: extract it and run it, there is nothing to install and no browser extension involved. It builds, runs and schedules user journeys on its own, with a limited set of options, metrics and concurrency — Mugnsoft Core is the platform to add when you need more.

The prediction service needs no license of its own: it is part of a licensed Mugnsoft Core platform and only works with its webserver. Use the same release line on both — prediction service 1.4 goes with Core 4.3.
